A family refer to a group of people living together where they care for each other economically and socially. There are generally 5 types of families:

  • Nuclear family : Such family mainly comprises of a married couple and their offsprings.
  • Joint family: include siblings, their respective spouses and their children.
  • Extended family: comprises of three generations including grandparents, parents and grandkids.
  • Single Parent family: Where a parent either mother or father has died or divorced.
  • Family by choice: this is a new concept were people of same sex marry and grow a family together.
