War is not the only resort to conflicts. There are peaceful means such as dialogue initiation and mediation which could end conflicts. These methods may take their own course and time but they are much safer and better than resorting to war to end a conflict between nations or groups.

War is to be resorted to, only in the event of self-defence. But current scenario in the world supports more peaceful means than aggressive action. War leaves behind enough destruction and devastation, as our history would prove, to stay away from it! The disruptive economic backlash and loss of innocent and precious lives during wars should be motivation enough to stay away from them. Only different ideals, greed, pride and such   could lead to, even a consideration of taking up arms and follow the course of a war.
