A 12 years old child needs various nutrients in his diet as he grows faster during this period. He has to intake carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, fats, fibers, minerals and plenty of water in his diet list. Different food items contain different nutrients. Cereals and grains contain carbohydrates. Proteins are found in fish, meat, milk, egg etc. Butter, oil, cheese and dry fruits contain fats. Vitamins and minerals are found in sprouts, fruits and vegetables. Fibers are found in fruits, vegetables and whole wheat grains.
