A twelve-year-old should have a balanced diet which includes all nutrients. 
Proteins - (Veg) Milk , Butter ,Cheese ,Lassi ,Chaach,etc.
                 (Non-Veg) Milk, Butter, Cheese, eggs(boiled) , Meat, Fish, etc.
Fats - Butter, Cheese, Eggs
Vitamins and Minerals - Fresh vegetables and fruits, Green salads, Healthy                                                    Shakes and smoothies, etc.
Carbohydrates - Chapatti, Roti, Rice, Whole wheat/Multigrain bread, Noodles,                                  etc.
Their diet should also include at least 1-2 litres of water and food rich in fiber / roughage. They should maintain a healthy lifestyle for good health
