Primary emotions are more momentary in comparison to secondary emotions that is why they are easier and less complicated to comprehend. The initial thing one feels is directly associated with the event or stimulus, however, as time goes on one struggles to associate with the same emotion as the incident as our emotions have amended.

There are eight primary emotions one is innate with. These are:

1. Sadness

2. Anger

3. Joy

4. Fear

5. Surprise

6. Interest

7. Shame

8. Disgust
