Answer:

If soil or a human exists apart from the other, their existence is essentially meaningless. A crop is just the result of man and the earth working together. Any blame placed on man is only possible due to the fact that he is conscious, intelligent, and capable of making decisions in this special partnership, which is known as a symbiotic relationship, where the soil plays a significant role in almost all requirements for human survival, nourishment, shelter, and livelihood. Soil is a factory where raw materials are changed and turned into completed goods, not something that is lifeless, inactive, or dirt. When soil is described as a tool for man to use, it is not as a crude tool like a saw or plane, but as a highly structured tool like a factory, an engine, or an animal.

Explanation:

Since soil is so essential to human life, people must move and work with it. However, this could result in environmental issues, soil loss, and degradation. A natural or human-induced process called soil degradation reduces the soil's functional capacity. For instance, the Sumerians constructed sizable cities in the Southern Mesopotamian deserts in 3000 BC. They developed their civilization by farming the desert soils and producing significant food surpluses via irrigation. However, the civilization ended approximately 2200 BC. Although scientists disagree on the cause, one possibility is the soil. In dry climates, irrigation can lead to salinization or the accumulation of salt. Few plants can withstand salt. This area's soil is still too saline to support crop growth. Erosion, desertification, and contamination are other practices that harm the soil.
