The Road safety Week was observed in Campion school from 10th January to 17th January to

focus attention on the importance of observing traffic rules in order to prevent accidents on

the roads which take away thousands of precious lives every year across India. In response

to the guidelines of the circular issued by the ‘Ministry of Transport and Highway’, Campion

School incorporated in its program the display of safe traffic rules, essay writing, drawing

and painting activity, skit and assembly.

Posters highlighting the observance of traffic rules were displayed at strategic points to

draw the attention of the students towards ‘Road Safety’. Ms. Shilpa Welkar had organized

drawing and painting activitiy for the boys of classes 3 and 4 to spread awareness. The

teachers of classes 5 to 9 got all the children involved in essay writing on the topic of ‘Road

Safety’. All these activities and program were culminated at the morning assembly on 18th

January, 2016 where the boys of R.S.P. led by Mr. Agnel Das helped to create awareness

about road safety through a PowerPoint and skit. The students were also encouraged to

reflect on how they would help in future to ensure road safety for all.
