The lower and middle-class women suffer more than the high-class women. The women in Indian society generally face problems like dowry, sex discrimination, infanticide etc.

The problems faced are:

a. Female infanticide is the most common practice of killing girl child in mother’s womb in the Indian society

b. A Common problem for women is sex discrimination which they face from their birth and continues till death.

c. sexual exploitation of a girl child at home, streets, public places, transports, offices, etc. by the family members, neighbors, friends or relatives
