RTI is Right To Information which was enacted on 15 June 2005 bt the Parliament of India. It is usually an alternative used for democracy. It is the way of supreme authority over all other things. It is the way to know what government has kept for and from the citizen's welfare.
Promoting the transparency and accountability it has saved many people's lives from the hardships of some cheated people. A woman from a village called Ambhegaon had her tough time for two years while getting the death certificate of her grandfather. She needed it to claim the pension for her widow grandmother. The officer at the panchayat office would ask her for bribe of rupees 500.Instead she filed a RTI and got the certificate within 8 days.
