there is also a prove regarding this that Galileo threw two stones from the leaning tower of pisa to show this. Similarly, if we throw a stone/brick from a height both will reach the ground at the same time but due to air resistance changes may occur so if in a vacuum container we throw to objects say, paper and stone. It'll be observed that the two reached the base at exactly the same time.
