It was the month of May. It was very hot day. I heard a loud noise. I got up and ran outside I saw that a house of my neighbour was on fire. The flames were rising to the sky. Everyone feared that the fire would spread the whole locality. Many people were running with buckets full of water and bags full of sand. They were throwing water on the fire. Many men, women and children had gathered. Soon two fire-engineers reached the spot. The firemen began to throw a lot of water with their pipes. They entered the burning house. They helped the family to come out. Fortunately no one was killed. It took the fire brigade about half an hour to control the fire. Luckily, there was no loss of life. Whenever I am reminded of the scene, my heart begins to sink.

The fire- brigade saved the people of Loudon street, house number 56A from a huge disaster on Tuesday evening, 10th December, roughly around 5 pm. The neighbors believe that the house was seen in flames, burning. The cause of the fire was investigated as a severe short circuit in the electronic room located in the basement.
People in the house were in a huge state of panic. There were old people and children as well. The fire brigade was able to save everyone at the proper time. The children were facilitated first, followed by the old people.
There were no severe injuries but people were in a bad condition due to the heat and the smoke. They were traumatized. Ambulances were called for the medical necessities and some people were hospitalized due to physical sickness caused by the smoke.
The property damage includes the burnt portions of the basement hall. The fire brigade was called at the right time to avoid excessive damage.
