Answer:

Explanation: There were several ways in which one could be the messenger of his own death. The most basic one was to walk on the streets during late nights. As the Gestapo would hunt down the trespassers.

The next one would be not obey the state's rules and questioning the decisions made by the Fuhrer. Then the gravest one would be to betray. If found guilty, one could just imagine the horrors.

Report On  Steps of Death in Nazi Germany

In Germany the Mauthausen concentration camp is known as steps of death. It is situated about 20 kilometers east of the Austria city. Adolf Hitler sent his worst enemy to this camp to work until their death. All the prisoner were forced to climb the steps by holding a heavy blocks of concrete. They had to reach at the top with stone whose weigh was about 50 kilogram. Some prisoners were collapsed at the steps and fell down from the stairs at with their crushed bone and limbs.

Everyday prisoner were died at the steps because of the heavy rock. If some prisoner reached at the top, guards told them to line up near the cliff. Guards forced them to choose between either shot by gun or push a prisoner from the cliff. Most of the prisoner chose suicide and they shot by the gun. This Nazi was known as the bone grinder now it became a part of the museum.
