The food is the necessity of life. It is important for the survival of the living beings. Due to advent of agriculture worldwide has developed variety of fruits, vegetables, cereals, nuts and other food items.
In India variety of food crops are grown depending upon the region. In Assam the rice crops are grown to maximum so rice is preferred crops. In North Indian parts the wheat is grown and different pulses are grown which are eaten. In Western parts of India pesiculture is preferred and fish is used for consumption.
In states, like Punjab makke ki roti and sarson da saag is of choice. In Gujarat, dhokla is famous dish. Maharashtra is famous for vada pao. Bihar is famous for liti chokha. Rajasthan is famous for pyaz kachori. West Bengal is famous for fish curry. Andhra Pradesh is famous for Hydrabadi biryani. Jammu and Kashmir is famous for Rogan Josh, Tamil Nadu is famous for dosa, vada and sambhar.
