Tattapani which is located on the banks of Sutlej River will never be the same again. The banks of the river have been submerged by the Kol Dam and several facilities on the banks are now not available. The people who earned their living by supplying sand have lost their livelihood.
In addition, the submersion of the hot springs has led to the winter season becoming even colder and the days remain foggy for most of the winter days. The hot springs that served as tourist location have lost their charm.
