DSC Sr. Sec. School,
Ludhiana organized a Social Science Exhibition on a grand scale on Saturday. Students from VI to XII classes
presented working models, projects, charts, 3-D models, working models, etc.
The special attraction of the exhibition was the working models of Bhakhra and
Sardar Sarovar dams.
President Mr. D.S. Sharma, Director Ms. Meenakshi Sharma, Principal Ms. Radhika
Malhotra graced the occasion Director Ms. Meenakshi Sharma lighted the
ceremonial lamp.
The chief guest, Mr. Rajesh Jain, the Mayor of
Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, accompanied by the members of school management
committee visited each and every section of the exhibition and appreciated the wonderful creations of
the students. He lauded the school for
its efforts for bringing out the
hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of Social
science, technology and engineering. The working models of Wind Turbines, Bhakhra
and Sardar Sarovar dams were declared as the best models and cash prizes of
rupees 20,000/-, 15000/-, and 10000/ along with certificates for innovation
were awarded to the Manoj Sharma, Surjit Singh, and Malika respectively.

science exhibition was organised at St.La Salle Higher Secondary School here on Wednesday. Rev. Sr. Leemarose, Headmistress of Das Navismatha Primary School inaugurated it.
The exhibition was organised as part of the Children’s Day. A total of 200 students from Standard VI six to XI from the school across displayed innovative talents.
With the key objective of bringing out the hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of science, technology and engineering, the exhibition was organised said, D. Peppin, Headmaster.
