heyy dear ur answer
Covalent compounds are generally gaseous or liquid at room temperature but the compounds of high molecular weights maybe solids also since the covalent compounds have weak force of attraction between them the atoms are not bad rigidly and hence solid state in covalent compounds is rare then covalent compounds in general are not heard due to weak attraction forces between the molecules they do not have come back hard structure this is the reason why ionic crystals and covalent crystals are quite different covalent compounds are generally poor conductors insulators due to the absence of Ions they do not conduct electricity as in case of non polar covalent compounds covalent compounds have low melting and boiling points are covalent compounds upbeat intermolecular forces of attraction so they have low melting and boiling points covalent compounds are soluble in non polar solvents but are insoluble or partially soluble in polar solvents covalent compounds are strong and provide exceptional stability to covalent compound and covalent compounds shows low molecular chemical reactions the covalent bonds do not dissociate in solution to form ions and undergo reactions by the breakage of old ones and the formation of the new bonds this results in slow reaction in the case of covalent compounds
hope it will help u.............@kundan
