good morning
respected principal sir worthy teachers and hello my dear friends
here I am standing in front of you to speak few lines on the topic caring for elderly
As we all are well aware of the fact that many of the people leave their elders once due to their responsibilities and do not respect them in their old time as the people forget about how their parents raise them and grow up by doing hard work without taking care of themselves .Many people do not want to take care of the elderly especially when they are ill as they generally have lots of emotional and physical problems required a lot of care. Giving the best possible care and understanding their changing needs should be the goal of caring for the elderly. Of course, it is not easy to take care but it is definitely hard to let someone we love slip away. Most people take care of the elderly, maybe knowing that they have to or that there just is no one else to do it. Caring for the elderly requires a lot of patient, empathy and understanding. It is kindness that makes us take care of the elderly. We learn a lot from taking care and spending time with them. We gain experience as older people have a wealth of experience. We gain wisdom and knowledge as they have a lot more than any of us. Their experience that life takes them through yields a lot of wisdom. We experience gratitude. It brings a smile on our face and most likely on theirs as well. We get to learn about morals, principles and value that we can develop on as we live on. We learn as they teach hoe to love, to care, to give, to forgive, to accept, o support and face life. We get an insight into a set of rules and regulation which we can outline for ourselves as we live.
Taking care of the elderly gives us an insight to unconditional love and help us love them in the same manner. It shows us that this kind of love does not exist anywhere else. It help us develop more compassion, empathy, courtesy and helps us build stronger and a more meaningful relationship and friendship.
The additional time that we care gives us a wonderful opportunity to create laughter and conversation with the elderly people who are lonely. We learn that elderly people can be grouchy because of worries and unwanted tension. Talking to the elderly gives them peace of mind and sense of security. It helps them by taking away their despair, depression, loneliness and so on. We can never understand how much it means to them to have someone by their side and care for them, however their eyes speaks of gratitude, love and happiness and it lifts their spirit.Hope friends u understand the need of caring and respecting your elder ones.
thanks and have a nice day.
hope this helps you yaar..

Taking Care of Elderly in Today's Society
Good morning everyone present. I am going to expatiate on Taking care of Elderly in today's society '. The elderly people are our roots that support us at the base underground; though they are hidden underground, our existence without them is impossible. As there can be no present without the past, similarly, the young cannot have their being without the elderly. We forget to comprehend the power of the old that is keeping the world stable. Our very life will come to a standstill without the elderly. 'Old is gold' aptly describes the importance of old people in our life.
Have you ever been hurt? Have you ever undergone the agonizing pains of heartbreak? Have you ever fallen ill? Have you ever felt any dilemma in your life? Have you ever felt lonely and forlorn? If yes, you must be remembering vividly who stands by you through the vicissitudes of dark and hard time! Our parents and grandparents shine in our dark world like rays of light. Great authors, leaders, scientists, doctors, etc often do breakthrough in their respective fields in their old age usually, which is no less than a light shining in the dark. If living more number of years is old age, then the sun, the stars, the rivers, the oceans, the mountains must be termed old also. If they are old, who is making our world go? The truth is old people are the most indispensable part of our life. They are the light of this otherwise dark world. We must respect them and love them for their invaluable light of love and wisdom in our life!
It is very unfortunate that in some families, the elderly are not given due respect and treated badly. They are discarded by their own children for petty things in life. Such lonely elderly people have to take shelter in old age homes. We must not forget that homes cease to be sweet homes without the elderly. The elderly people have all the valuable experience and wisdom with them. We must use it to make our life better. Besides, the kind of unconditional love we get from them, no other person or being can give us that type of love. We must hold on to the elderly people in our families and stay in the light of their love and wisdom. We need the elderly and the elderly need us!
