Good morning everyone present here; I am here to express my views on ' educated women empower the nation'. It has rightly been said by someone in Africa 'If you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman, you educate a woman.' In the light of the above mentioned axiom, empowering the women with education is the best and the wisest option a nation could have in empowering itself.
In the big vast world of ours, many nations in African, Asian, and South American continents are still grappling with the problems of backwardness. Hunger, poverty, unemployment, poor standards of living, poor medical facilities, poor education, etc, are still lingering on in the developing countries. Empowering women with education is the only panacea. With her education, not only she will be benefited, she will spread the light of education all around her. She will teach her brothers, sisters, neighbors, and other adults; this will lead to a positive ripple effect that will lead to skill enhancement and the prospects of being hired by competent companies will increase. Besides, an educated woman ensures the surety of education of other family members.
Educated women in the recent past have been contributing in the national development in a big way. Indian women have always been exceptionally talented. They have contributed equally in bettering the society since ancient times. However, their recent success stories have been quite impressive! Kalpana Chawala, Sunita Williams, Mary kom, Sania Mirza, Saina Nehwal, Sushmita Sen, Aishwarya Roy, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, the list is endless. The Indian women are stunning the world with their extraordinary talents. They have left men far behind in the field of academic excellence. At schools, their performance in examinations and other co curricular activities eclipse boys. There is more number of women teachers. Even in other fields such as politics, industry, defense, space exploration, and research and development, they have made their presence felt. Recently first batch of women fighter pilots was commissioned in the Indian Air Force. All these are positive indicators of what they are capable of. Well the future is really very bright for them.
