Dear friends, we have one life let us make our one life more meaningful by donating blood. Blood donation is the mother of all donations. Blood donation directly gives life to another human being. It is not only saves one individual but also the entire family of that individual.
My dear friends,
I am happy to be here today speaking on the importance of blood donation. Donating your blood is a very noble and kind act. Blood is the life- giving fluid that can be manufactured only in the body of living things and nowhere else. It flows through our veins.
Very often accidents, surgeries, childbirth, some diseases such as blood cancer etc cause a lot of blood loss. At such times a person's blood is important and not his wealth or power or fame. It is the blood of another person that will finally save the patient's life.
Blood donation is that process when a healthy person gives his blood voluntarily. This is then stored in blood banks and used later in blood transfusion. Only those above 18 years of age and weighing more than 45 kgs can volunteer to donate their blood. The blood donation process takes around 5 to 15 minutes.
Your blood may be required at any time I request all of you my friends to think about what I have said. You are still too young to donate but you can tell others about it and prepare yourself too, to be ready when the time comes.
