Good morning everyone present; I am here to speak briefly on 'Fit India, Happy India'.
Fitness is very important always. Nation that has fit people will be healthier and stronger than hat nation whose people are not fit. Fit body, fit mind, and fit environment depend on one another. Only people who are physically fit, can have fit mind; and only people with fit mind and fit body can make environment fit.
In order to live healthily we should focus on exercise, food, yoga, and meditation. Exercise helps in preventing excess weight gain or maintaining weight loss. When you engage in physical activity, you burn calories. Exercise keeps your blood flowing smoothly, which decreases your risk of cardiovascular diseases. In fact, regular physical activity can help you prevent or manage a wide range of health problems and concerns, including stroke, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, depression, and certain types of cancer, arthritis and falls.
Another factor that can ensure health and fitness is yoga. Yoga is an ancient science of body postures and mental concentration whose chief purpose is optimal self-realization and self-actualization. The word ‘Yoga’ in the entirety of its meaning, includes regulating and channeling mental forces towards the direction of merging the petty self with the infinite Universe and becoming one with IT.
So, all of us must endeavor to keep ourselves fit. If entire India is to be fit, then all of us must ensure our fitness individually.
