Good morning everyone. We welcome you for joining us in this State Education Competition. Today's competition topic will be "Fit India, Happy India".
My name is Jojo from ABC Public School.
As a nation, we are all aware of the ever increasing unbalancing gap between the healthy foods and the need for fast foods. Youngsters these days tend to go for more outside foods that seems more of the norm than eat food from their homes. But with the need to maintain a healthy lifestyle, we must all be aware of the harms that these unhealthy foods have on our whole body.
Considering our daily food, we cannot entirely say that we are eating healthy food. Our meals have a lot of oils and spices, and sweets which are not good for health. And added to that, with the new generation, we are more prone to staying home and looking at our gadgets than going out on exercises. Moreover, the reduced use of physical strength in doing work has also added to the increased health issues in our country.
If we are to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and stay happy, we need to work on our exercise plans, do yoga and meditate, have a balanced diet. And once we have a healthy approach to living, happiness will eventually follow. One cannot be happy if one is obese. On the other hand, if one is healthy and with no health risk, happiness will be his no matter what.
So, in order for our nation to be happy, we must all work together to make our lives fit. As the common proverb states "health is wealth", the nation can become one happy nation when we are leading a healthy lifestyle.
