Simple. In the poet’s mind, spring has nothing to do with whether the flower blooms or not. It’s a state of mind. In his mind, it is spring. It doesn’t matter whether it matches with the external climate or not.

The entire poem has contrasting images. It has irony, days that have gone by and in the end, an unmarried ugly dark girl (who probably has no hope of a marriage) still manages to feel shy when a butterfly lands on her. There’s still life in this ugliness. So what, if there are no blooming flowers.
