Most of the rituals in countries are derived from not only their cultural aspect but their religious aspect as well.

One of the top celebrated rituals of India. One of them is the Ganga Aarti which is a holy ritual. In this there goes on a  religious prayer that takes place at the bank of the sacred river Ganga. This river is located at the Har Ki Pauri ghat in Haridwar.

In this ritual a special type of prayer is done with the use of bells and lights. The priests over there perform this ritual by making use of bowls of fire and ringing bells during the prayer.

A ritual popular in my locality and which have been celebrated recently is ritual of Bhaidooj.

• In my locality, Bhaidooj is an important ritual which is celebrated a day after Diwali.
• It is celebrated in different "part of India" and also in parts of Nepal and is known with different names in different parts.
• It is celebration of brother – sister love and bond. It's celebrations is similar to Rakshabandhan in which sisters ties rakhi on "wrists of their brothers" and brother promises to protect his sister.
• But, in Bhaidooj rakhi is not tied but exchange of gifts takes place between "brothers and sisters".
• The brother again vows to keep his sisters safe and the sisters in return showers their blessings on to their brothers.
• This celebrates the love and bond shared between "brothers and sisters".
