now, when an aqueous solution of NaOH is added to these, the solution is formed Na2CO3 and H2O. well, as you know NaOH is also basic in nature but it is stronger than NaHCO3 so, NaHCO3 acts as acidic in nature. we all know the reaction between acid and base is salt.
