Isometric scale:

Isometric projection is a technique for graphically displaying three-dimensional objects in two dimensions. It's an axonometric projection in which all three coordinate axes appear to be equally foreshortened and any two of them form a 120-degree angle.

Steps to draw isometric scale.

  • Draw a horizontal line and mark a point as O.
  • Draw a line OA that is 30 degree inclined to the horizontal line with the help of projector.
  • Draw an another line  OB that is 45 degree inclined to the horizontal line with the help of projector.
  • From the OB line mark 74 mm with help of the scale and mark the point as C.
  • Now draw a vertical line from C which cuts OA line and mark that point as D.
  • Now OD is the isometric scale for 74mm
  • Isometric length can be calculated as,                                             Isometric length = 0.816 × normal length
  • From the OA line mark 40 mm with the help of the scale and mark a point E
  • Draw a vertical line from E which cuts the line OA and mark that point as F.
  • Now OF is the isometric scale for 40 mm.

Final answer.

From the figure OD and OF are the isometric scale for 74 mm and 40 mm
