As high school students, we are hosting a skit on Indian Republic Day for our show. The theme for the skit could either be from past or present, but I am confused about it. What are some creative theme suggestions for the script?

Hello this is SANVI S BANKAR

NATHU KAKA: OF Course

RAJIV: Namaste Bhaiyaa

GOPINATH :How are you doing? Are you going to school?

RAJIV: YES,Bhaiyaa it is so much fun to go to school. Teachers tell us lot of stories about Gandhiji ,Nehruji, and many such freedom fighters.

GOPINATH: CHACHA do you realize it's been more than two years we have got independence and we are still being governed by old British laws isn't is distressing.

SHIVRAM: YEAH your right. Few days ago they announced to declare drafting committee??

RAJIV: DRAFTING COMMITTEE????

GOPINATH: Assembly elected a set of leader's to form a DRAFTING COMMITTEE on 29 August 1947 . This DRAFTING COMMITTEE was given the task of making laws . These sets of laws together will be called our INDIAN CONSTITUTION.

SHIVRAM : NATHU KAKA do you remember couple of months back in November 1949 itself..the news of the signed CONSTITUTION

RAJIV: We are talking about our new constitution

(Enter Krishnaraman)

KRISHNARAMAN :SHIVRAM,GOPINATH why are you looking sad? We are in the start of new year 1950. I never thought in January 1930 that I would live to see independent india after 20 years down the line

SHIVRAM: YOU were too young GOPINATH We remember that day clearly.

GOPINATH: BUT KRISHNA chacha we are still following the laws made by British aren't we???

KRISNARAMAN: Ha!Ha!Ha! Have patience my son. Have patience. One step at time…It was important to move out the British and get the reins in our country first! Making laws takes time

GOPINATH : BUT chacha when will we see our own constitution taking affect . I just hate British laws.

KRISNARAMAN: haven't you heard in the news that weare about to adopt the constitution anytime

(LIGHTS DIM)

AND ONCE MORE EVERY ONE WILL BE SEATED IN THE SAME TEA STALL.
