Required materials:

Ferrous salt, Ammonium salt, Dilute sulfuric acid,Ethyl alcohol,Distilled water,Beakers,China dish,Funnel,Glass rod,Tripod stand,Wire gauze,Burner,Wash bottle  ,Measuring jar

,Electronic balance.

Procedure:

1)We’ll 1st take 7 grams metal salt 3.5 grams ammonium ion salt in a very clean 250 ml beaker.

2)To this add regarding 2-3 ml of dilute sulphuric acid to forestall the reaction of metal salt.

3)In another beaker, boil regarding 20 ml of water for five minutes.

4)Add the boiling plight to the contents within the 1st beaker in little quantities at a time.

5)Stir the contents of the beaker with a glass rod till the salts have utterly dissolved.

6)Filter the answer into a china dish.

7)Now heat the solution within the china dish till its crystallization purpose is reached.

8)Then transfer the answer into a crystallizing dish and keep it undisturbed.

9)On cooling, crystals of Mohr’s salt separate.
