Present age of a boy is 30 years less than of a father, if 10 years ago his age was 1/4 of his father ,find there present ages. plzz fast after tomorrow is my exam

let be the present age of boy is x.
let be the present age of father is y.
Acc to 1st condition
x=y-30...........(1)
Acc to 2nd condition
x-10=1/4(y-10)
x=1/4(y-10)+10........(2)
equating (1) & (2)
y-30=1/4(y-10)+10
4y-120=y+30
3y=150
y=50
present age of the father is 50yrs
sub this in(1)
we get x=20
present age of son is 20yrs.
