Let Manu's age be y

Provided, their age are in the ratio 3:5.

So,x/y=3/5

      or 5x=3y

Now, four years from now their ages will be 2:3.

So,the age of Anu and Manu becomes x+4 and y+4 respectively.

Hence,  (x+4)/(y+4)=2/3

        or 3x+12=2y+4

             3x+8=2y

Thus, we get the equation 5x-3y=0 and 3x-2y+8=0.

Thus, finally we get x=24 and y=40
