Present age of father is 28 years more than his son's age father's age becomes two times of his son's age after 20 years then what is the present age of the father

Now,

y = x - 28 ....1

After 20 years

Father's age = 20+x

Son's age = 20+y

20+x=2(20+y)

20+x=40+2y

x=20+2y .....2

From 1 and 2, we get

x=20+2(x-28)

x=20+2x-56

x-2x=-36

-x=-36

x=36

Father's present age = 36 years
