Answer:

a) 42/14=3:1

b) age of father when son was of 12 years=40

40/12=20/6=10/3=10:3

c)age of father after ten years=42+10=52

age of son after ten years=14+10=24

52/24=26/12=13/6=13:6

d) age of son when his father was 30 years old=14-12=2=30/2=15/1=15:1
