Let the present age of Kuldeep and Asad is 5x and 8x respectively

Five years ago their age 5x–5 and 8x–5

Now According to the question...

=> (5x–5)/(8x–5) = 4:7 = 4/7

=>7(5x–5) = 4(8x–5)

=> 35x–35 = 32x–20

=> 35x–32x = 35–20

=> 3x = 15

=> x = 5

So the present age of Kuldeep = 5x = 5×5 = 25

and present age of Asad = 8x = 8×5 = 40

after 10 years the age of Kuldeep will be 25+10 = 35yrs and Asad = 40+10 = 50yrs.
