Present

  • Age of mother= 48 years
  • Age of daughter= 12 years

________________________

a) Daughter age = 8 years

then,

➼Age gap between daughter present age and past age = 12-8 = 4 years

➼Mother age 4 years ago was= 48-4= 44 years

 \sf{➼Ratio \:  of  \: mother  \: age  \: to  \: daughter \:  age = \dfrac{44}{8} }

 \sf{➼Ratio \:  of \:  mother \:  age \:  to daughter  \: age = \dfrac{11}{2} }

Ratio of mother age to daughter age =11:2

b) After 2 years

  • Age of mother = 48+2 = 50 years
  • Age of daughter= 12+2= 14 years

 \sf{➼Ratio \:  of  \: age \:  of  \: the mother \:  to  \: age \:  of \:  the \:  daughter= \dfrac{50}{14} }

 \sf{➼Ratio  \: of  \: age  \: of \:  the \: mother \:  to  \: age  \: of \:  the \:  daughter=\dfrac{25}{7} }

Ratio of age of the mother to age of the daughter= 25:7

c) Mother age = 40 years

➼Age gap between mother present age and past age = 48-40 = 8 years

➼Daughter age 8 years ago = 12-8 = 4 years

 \sf{➼Ratio  \: of  \: age \:  of  \: the \:  mother \:  to  \: age \:  of  \: the \:  daughter=\dfrac{40}{4}}

 \sf{➼Ratio \:  of \: age \:  of \:  the \:  mother \:  to  \: age \:  of \:  the \:  daughter=\dfrac{10}{1} }
