Present age of son is half the present age of mother. 10 years ago, the mother's age was twice age of son. what is the present age of son?

in present son's age = x (let)

then his mother's age = 2x

ten years ago

son's age = x-10

mothers age = 2x - 10

according to question

3(x-10) = (2x-10)

x = 20

thus son's age = 20

mother's age = 40
