let the common ratio=x
present age of akhil=4x yrs
present age of anand = 5x yrs
8 yrs frm now,
age of akhil = 4x+8 yrs
age of anand =5x+8 yrs
ATQ (according to question)
4x+8/5x+8=5/6
by cross multiply
6(4x+8)=5(5x+8)
24x+48=25x+40
48-40=25x-24x
8=1x
x=8
present age of akhil = 4x=4×8=32yrs
present age of anand= 5x= 5×8 =40 yrs
