Step-by-step explanation:

K/A=5/8 K=5x,A=8x after 5 years, (5x+5)/(8x+5)=4/7 35x+35=32x+20 3x=15 x=5 K's age=5×5=25 A's age=8×5=40 after 10 years their ages will be K's age=35 , A's age=50

Answer:

let the present ages of kuldeep and Asad be x & y respectively

therefore,x/y = 5/8

8x = 5y

8x-5y = 0

Given that five years ago the ratio was 4:7

therefore,x-5/y-5=4:7

7(x-5) = 4(y-5)

7x-35 = 4y-20

7x-4y = -20+35

7x-4y = 15

multiply 8x-5y = 0 by 4 & multiply 7x-4y = 15 by 5

32x-20y = 0

35x-20y = 75

after subtracting both the equations we get

-3x = -75

x = -75/-3

x=25

therefore we get y = 8*25-5y=0

8*25=5y

y=40

then age after 10 years

kuldeep = 25+10=35

Asad = 40+10= 50
