so let it be 5x,6x respectively,

and given that ,

3years ago,their ratio is 4:5,

therefore,

(5x-3):(6x-3) = 4:5,

=> (5x-3)*5 = (6x-3)*4,

=> 25x-15 = 24x-12,

=> x = 3.

therefore, present ages of Ram and Sunita are 15 & 18 years respectively.
