Present ages of saika and amir are in the ratio 4:5. eight years from now the ratio of their ages will be 5:6. find their present ages.

Given:-

Present ages of saika and amir are in the ratio 4:5.
Let
present age of saika amir are 4x and 5x

After 8 year ages will 5:6

 \frac{4x + 8}{5x + 8} = \frac{5}{6} \\ \\ 24x + 48 = 25x + 40 \\ 48 - 40 = 25x - 24x \\ x = 8
Hence

Present ages of saika =>4x=5×8=32✔

Present ages of amir=>5x=5×8=40✔

Let the present age of saika be 4x
And amir be 5x

 =  >  \frac{4x + 8}{5x + 8}  =  \frac{5}{6}  \\  \\    =  > 6(4x + 8) = 5(5x + 8) \\  \\  =  > 24x + 48 = 25x + 40 \\  \\  =  > 25x - 24x = 48 - 40 \\  \\  =  > x = 8

Now,
Age of Saika = 4x = 4×8 = 32
Age of Amir = 5x = 5×8 = 40



Hence,
The present age of Saika is 32 years and Amir is 40 years.
