Let the ages of Sameer and Anand be x and y respectively,

Then According to Question,

x/y = 5/4  ⇒ 4 x = 5 y

4 x - 5 y = 0                               ...............(1)

Also, x+3/y+3 = 11/9

9(x+3) = 11(y+3)

9 x + 27 = 11 y + 33

9 x - 11 y = 6                             ...............(2)
______________________________________________________

From (1) and (2) Subtracting them,

(1) × 9 ⇒ 36 x - 45 y = 0

(2) × 4 ⇒ 36 x - 44 y = 24
                (-)      (+)       (-)
                _____________

                          - y  = - 24
                _____________

Then y = 24 yrs and so, x = 30 yrs.
___________________________________________________________

Hence ages of Sameer = 30 yrs and ages of Anand = 24 yrs.
