Present Perfect
. The present perfect depicts the past in relation to the present.
We can also use 'since' and 'for' with the present perfect.
e.g.
a. He has found the lost key,
b. I have made him understand it.
Present Perfect Continuous
• When we talk about an activity that started in the past,
continued and is still happening now.
a. They have been packing gifts for years.
b. The prices have been declining.
Past Perfect
. When we talk about a past event that occurred before a particular time in the past,
we use the past perfect.
