Pressure groups and movements have definitely helped to deepen democracy. It is through the help of these groups that people have forced the governments to hear the common demands. This is healthy for democracy. The governments are sometimes pressurized by the rich and the powerful to implement certain policies that are not good for the common people. the pressure groups and movements helps to negate such irresponsible work by the government.
