Pressure is determined as force per unit area of the surface. The SI unit ofpressure, Pascal is as shown below:
1Pa = 1N m2
If mass of air at sea level is 1034 g cm2, calculate the pressure in Pascal.
Answer:
Pressure is defined as force acting per unit area of the surface.
P=F/A
=1034g X 9.8 ms -2 / cm2 X1kg/1000g X (100)2 cm2/ 1m2
= 1.01332 × 105kg m1s2
We know,
1 N = 1 kg ms2
Then,
1 Pa = 1 Nm2= 1 kg m2s2
1 Pa = 1 kgm1s2
Pressure = 1.01332 × 105Pa
not understood the solution,on what basis the values has been put on the equation P=F/A ,can u explain the solution?

Answer:The basic formula is (°C × 9/5) + 32 = °F. 0 degrees Celsius is equal to 273.15 Kelvins. The basic formula is °C + 273.15 = K. The basic formula for converting Fahrenheit into Celsius is (°F − 32) × 5/9 = °C.
