Pressure is the force acting on a unit of area. When you stand with both feet on the floor, pressure is being exerted through both feet on to the floor. As you stand on one foot, the pressure exerted by one foot will be greater. This is because the force of the body weight is concentrated on to a smaller area. Hence, pressure depends on force (or weight) and the area on which the force acting. When a large amount of force acts on a small area, the pressure is high A sharp knife cuts better than a blunt one because the cutting edge has a smaller area, so the pressure it can exert is higher. explain clearly

Answer:

it means that The force exerted on a surface per unit area

ex it is easier to hammer a sharp pin on a wooden surface than a blunt pin because smaller the area ,the larger will be the pressure on a surface for the same force.
