The proverb 'Prevention is better than cure' advises us to take necessary steps to stop something unpleasant from happening. This proverb has universal application. Proper maintenance of machines, buildings, roads or bridges can prevent their deterioration and thus forestall disaster

it's easier to stop something happening in the first place than to repair the damage after it has happened.prevention is considered as better than cure because it saves us from harm .Prevention is a safe way to remain away from any problem.if we can stop it now why bother later .
