Answer:

Rs. 69.44

Step-by-step explanation:

Solving it using ratio method

the price will be inversely proportional to the consumption i.e when the price increase consumption decrease.

so here let initial cost be 100 and it decreased to 72

so ratio of price is 100:72

consumption will be in inverse ratio 72:100

on simplifying the ratio becomes 18:25

so 7 units = 14

1 unit =2

so the initial purchase was 2*18= 36 kg and now it increased to 2*25= 50 kg

so initial price 2500/36= 69.44

original price of rice = Rs. 69.44
