Given :

Rice and wheat = 5 : 2

Increase of Rice = 2 : 5

Increase of wheat = 3 : 5

According to the question :

Rice = 5x

Wheat = 2x

Increase of Rice :

☞ 2 : 5

=> 2x / 5x

Increase in Wheat :

☞ 3 : 5

=> 3x / 5x

Prices of Rice and wheat :

Rice = Rs. 2x / 5x + 5x

=> 2x / 5x + 5x / 1x ( LCM = 5 )

=> 2x + 25x / 5x

=> 7x.

Wheat = 3x / 5x + 2x

=> 3x / 5x + 2x / 1x ( LCM = 5 )

=> 3x + 10x / 5x

=> 5x.

Ratio of prices :

So, 7x : 5x

x = 7 : 5

Therefore, the ratio = 7 : 5.
