Primary alcohol means the OH group is connected to a carbon which In turn is bonded to only a SINGLE carbon atom.
Secondary alcohol means the OH group is bonded to a carbon which is bonded to TWO other carbon atoms.
Tertiary alcohol means the OH group is bonded to a carbon which is in turn bonded to THREE other carbon atoms.
