Prime factorization is set of prime numbers that multiply to give original number.

= > Here, the number 100 is a composite number.

= > 100 can be written as 4 * 25

= > 4 * 25

= > 2 * 2 * 5 * 5

= > (2)^2 * (5)^2

Prime factorization of 100 = 2 * 2 * 5 * 5.

Prime factors are 2 and 5.

Hope it helps!

Prime factorization of any number means break that numbers into small factors such that those factors can't be factored any more. In simple words those small factors must be prime numbers as prime numbers can't be factored more.

I will show you how to do that using factor tree.

From factor tree we see that prime factorization of 100 is 2*2*5*5
