principle focus and focal point are same?

In the convex case, the point the rays all converge is called focus, and the distance from this point to the lens is the focal length. Then they would converge , on the same side of the lens as the original parallel . This is point, where the virtual rays converge , is the focal point.

yes they are the same that is the point where the rays of light meet after convergence or divergence from the mirror/lens
