Haemodialysis is the working of artificial kidney.
Principle is that when Impure blood passes through semi permeable linings of tubes, the toxic substances diffuse into the dialysing fluid.

Hemodialysis is a surgery (technique) usually done, to the persons who's kidney fails in functioning (kidney failure). This technique,. is purely based on higher concentration (osmosis) and lower concentration of water level,..
They inject a fluid called dialysing fluid into the body through a selectively permeable lining suspended in a tank filled with dialysing fluid. This fluid has the same osmotic pressure of blood,. This fluid flows through the whole body and collects wastages(ammonia, urea, uric acid, and other nitrogenous wastes which are harmful to our body) by diffusion. The dialysing solution comes out of the body through through another pipe and again through selectively permeable membrane (to remove blood which are mixed with the solution) and is stored in another tank (used dialysing solution.)
Hope it Helps!!

The only difference between this function and function of kidney, is no re-absorption is involved.
